Der Rennsport liegt in der DNA der CB1000 Hornet. Sein 1.000-cm-DOHC-Vierzylindermotor liefert eine adrenalingeladene Leistung von 111,6 kW (152 PS) bei 11.000 U/min und ein Drehmoment von 104 Nm bei 9.000 U/min. Mit einem Verdichtungsverhältnis von 11,7:1 und neu entwickelten Druckgusskolben ist der Motor so abgestimmt, dass er druckvoll im unteren und mittleren Drehzahlbereich arbeitet und eine präzise Drosselklappensteuerung ermöglicht. Es ist ein ganz besonderes Vergnügen, diese Streetfighter-Maschine in der Stadt zu fahren. Und die auf sofortige Beschleunigung abgestimmte Übersetzung sorgt dafür, dass die CB1000 Hornet in Kurven besonderen Fahrspaß bietet.
